Welcome to the tranquillity of the 'green' Umbria

Casa Rovigliano is a traditional Italian farmhouse set in the picturesque Umbrian hills on the border with Tuscany. Lovingly restored 17th century "casa colonica" is surrounded by the tranquil "countryside of 'della Francesca". This is green heart of Italy, a land of rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and woods of oak and chestnut, where little has changed since St Francis of Assisi preached here in the Middle Ages.

Casa Rovigliano offers simple but comfortable and inexpensive accommodation in a renovated farmhouse that retains all its original features: exposed beams, large open fireplace, terracotta floors and stone stairways.

Our house comfortably sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin). There's also a sofa bed in the sitting room that can sleep 2 people if necessary. 

Rovigliano is situated between Cittá di Castello and Arezzo. With Gubbio & Assisi to the East, Perugia to the South and Florence an hour away to the North. Much of the region's culture and history is easily accessible. Even the nearby village of Monterchi boasts one of 'della Francesca's greatest works, The Madonna del Parto.

However, it is the local countryside, unchanged and free from large numbers of tourists, which is the area's greatest attraction. Golf, riding stables and a wonderful swimming pool available 5 minutes away.

We will do our best to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. With an Italian couple who look after the house just a few kilometres away, most queries can be rectified quickly.
